About Biblio's Café
Biblio's Café is a community run café based in Harbury Village Library, staffed entirely by volunteers.
Biblio's was opened in 2012 with the purpose of funding the newly independent village library. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team and our fantastic customers, Biblio’s continues to exceed expectations and has become a valued meeting place in the heart of Harbury.
We aim to provide an excellent service for all our visitors and will continually strive to improve.
All baked goods are produced by our talented team of volunteer bakers who use Fairtrade, organic or local ingredients wherever possible.
Biblio's has an Allergen Policy and provides a range of gluten free baked goods (please ask a member of the team for details).
We hope that you enjoy your visit to the Library and Café.
As we continue to return to normal, we welcome customers to join us in the Café for our normal range of drinks, cakes and baked goods, served at your table. We will still be offering a takeaway service inside the building. However, if you don’t want to come into the building please knock on the kitchen door and we will be pleased to serve you drinks and cakes/baked goods from there. Please check on our Opening Hours as these change from time to time.
We have 6 tables for 2 people and 1 table for 4 people.
All the tables can be booked using the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Tables will be reserved for these customers. If you have not booked a slot you are welcome to come into the Café as we will keep two tables, each session, for customers who have not booked.
How the service works
Customers, for the Café, will enter the building via the front door. We ask that all customers wear face coverings until they are seated in the Café and respect social distancing. Customers will be asked to sanitise their hands and give their details for Track and Trace, by a member of the Library team.
They will then be directed into the library and asked to follow the directions to the Café, where they will be met by a member of the Café team who will also ask them to sanitise their hands and check that they have given their details for Track and Trace.
The customers will be shown to a table and asked to take a seat.
Customers’ orders will be taken at the table and payment will be taken at this time.
Customers are asked not to move any of the furniture as it has been laid out so that it is Covid compliant.
Customers are asked, to replace their face coverings before they leave their table and not to remove them until they leave the building.
Table and chairs will be sanitised after each customer.
When customers leave the Café they will be directed to the right hand passage between the book shelves.
