Harbury Village Library Book Takeaway Service
The health and safety of library users and volunteers is of paramount importance at this time, so in designing our Click and Collect, Home Delivery and Book Takeaway services we have taken into account advice and guidance from Central and Local Government, Public Health England, the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport, and Libraries Connected. Full information is available on our page about Libraries and Covid-19.
While we welcome donations of books for our Blue Label Collection, we're not always able to use them. We might already have a copy, or because shelf space is limited, we don't think the book will be borrowed frequently enough. In these cases we put the books on the shelves in the library foyer for people to take away with them and, ideally, leave another book in its place. This service is regularly used and is a valuable part of what Harbury Village Library has to offer.
How our Book Takeaway Service works:
Until further notice it will be possible to Collect requested books, Return borrowed books, Donate books and Select books from our Takeaway shelf on Mondays, from 10 am to 12.30 pm, and on Thursdays from 2 pm to 4 pm. |
