French Language Classes at Harbury Village Library

The first French Class at Harbury Village Library was successfully completed on Tuesday 14th January and as a result we will be offering an additional Conversation Class from 3 pm to 4 pm on Monday afternoons.

French Class (Tuesday Evening)
The French Class on Tuesday evenings will run from 6 pm to 7 pm. The aim of the class is to be flexible - useful for near-beginners, for those wanting to refresh French learned some time ago, or for people wanting conversation on everyday topics. It will make use of BBC Talk French (1 or 2). Classes will take place every Tuesday, during term time and will cost £5 per lesson. The remaining classes in the first block will therefore be on January 21st, January 28th, February 4th and February 11th. The second block of lessons will start on Tuesday 25th February and run for 6 weeks ending on March 31st.

French Conversation Class (Monday Afternoon)
The French Class on Monday afternoons will run from 3 pm to 4 pm. In this class we’ll compare our experiences of travel in France and elsewhere, and discuss matters closer to home including current affairs - all in French, with occasional pauses to check accuracy! Classes will take place every Monday, during term time and will cost £5 per lesson. The remaining classes in the first block will therefore be on January 20th, January 27th, February 3rd and February 10th. The second block of lessons will start on Monday 24th February and run for 6 weeks ending on March 30th.

If you haven't already expressed an interest in the classes, it's not too late, just turn up to the lesson of your choice and see if it works for you. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please eMail us at french@harburyvillagelibrary.org.uk.
