Live & Local Living Room Project Description
People of Harbury! We want to capture your lockdown experiences for a book that will published in late September. There are three ways in which you can be involved… you might like to submit some poetry (we will be hosting a pre-recorded writing workshop to help spark your inspiration), you may prefer independently writing a prose account of how lockdown has affected you or alternatively, you can join one of our Zoom sessions where you can chat about your recent experiences with other members of the local community to have them recorded by our professional writer.
Sign up to take part in the Project
We want to hear about the challenges you have faced during lockdown, but also the highlights. Have there been any surprise advantages? What have you learnt from the experience? Has it brought the community closer together? What have you learnt over the last few months? We want to capture the genuine voices of Harbury over this time, the difficulties and the triumphs, so get your thinking caps on and get in touch.

We can’t guarantee that we will be able to include every submission, but everything we receive will be considered and each story will inform the project as our artist will also be writing a short collection of poems in response to the stories she gathers. We are keen to represent the whole community, so people of all ages are most welcome, we just ask that anyone under 16 asks for parental consent before getting in touch and we will encourage parents to be present when children are sharing their stories. (If we have enough interest, we would like to run a separate session for children, young people and their families).

For more information on how you can be involved, please get in touch with Please do let us know if you need additional support in accessing this project, and we will do all we can to help meet your needs. Please get in touch immediately if you are interested in being part of this exciting project.
